A Pocketful Of Music: Classics Composed for Children 1730 - 2002.
Drawing on a lifetime of observing the joy, insights and personal empowerment children can experience through music, Martha Braden has produced 'A Pocketful of Music: Classics Composed for Children 1730-2002'. Devised for pre-kindergarten through primary grades, this project introduces children to serious music through a recorded series of five-minute 'mini-concerts', each offering three brief, contrasted keyboard pieces by important composers.

'A Pocketful of Music: Classics Composed for Children 1730 - 2002' is also a special educational online project which is developed in partnership with the University of California / San Diego (Department of Visual Arts). The website can be visited here:

The David Kraehenbuehl Project
Martha Braden studied with David Kraehenbuehl from 1960 till 1996. During this period David Kraehenbuehl asked Martha Braden to record his concert piano works and to write the first catalog of all his compositions. Along with his curriculum vitae and biography Martha Braden published the 130 page sheet music volume of his piano concerts. The completion of these projects in 1998 led to the establishment of the 'David Kraehenbuehl Papers' by students of David Kraehenbuehl at the Irving S. Gilmore Music Library at Yale University in 1999. Archival materials were donated by his widow, Marie Marek Kraehenbuehl, which included manuscripts, published scores, published and unpublished articles, pedagogical materials, recordings, and memorabilia.

Martha Braden is the artistic director the David Kraehenbuehl Society which was formed in 1999. The website can be visited here:
